EOSC EU Node until full production
Until EOSC Node Slovakia is in full production, Slovak researchers can use the resources and services of the EOSC EU Node.
The EOSC EU Node at open-science-cloud.ec.europa.eu is operated on behalf of the European Commission. It provides an open and collaborative infrastructure supporting research and innovation across Europe and is available to all researchers, including those from Slovakia.
What it offers
- Resource hub – search across datasets, publications, software and services of the Federation.
- Core services – file sync and share, interactive notebooks, virtual machines, container platform, large and bulk file transfer.
- EOSC AAI – login with institutional or social identities.
- Helpdesk and training – support for using the services.
Relation to the Slovak node
While the Slovak node is a pilot MVP, the EU Node is the recommended place for researchers who need compute, storage or collaboration services today. The Slovak node in turn exposes its services and resources to the EU Node through the federated catalogue and the monitoring export, and its AAI and helpdesk are being connected to the federated ones.
